Abidin Eroldan

Abidin Eroldan is a documentary filmmaker and human rights advocate. In 2024, Abidin Eroldan's short documentaries on human rights issues were screened at the MoviesThatMatter Film Festival. He is organizing fundraising campaigns to produce documentaries that focus on important social issues. One of his notable projects is a documentary that highlights the systematic oppression and persecution of the Hizmet Movement by the Erdoğan regime in Turkey. This documentary aims to raise awareness about the human rights violations and genocide against the Hizmet and to promote the core values of education, dialogue, and community service associated with the Hizmet Movement. Eroldan's work involves collaboration with professional directors and editors, and his goal is to submit these documentaries to international film festivals to reach a global audience. Through his projects, he seeks to shed light on critical issues and bring attention to the personal stories of those affected by political and social injustices.

Ayna Matiyeva

Ayna Matiyeva is a human rights activist, translator, educator, and language teacher originally from Turkmenistan. Since 2023, she has been living in the Netherlands. A polyglot, Matiyeva speaks Turkmen, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, and English, and is currently learning Dutch. Ayna Matiyeva is known for her work in human rights advocacy, providing language education to migrant women, and participating in documentary projects that highlight the political and cultural issues in Turkmenistan. She has criticized the dictatorship regime in Turkmenistan and emphasized the concept of freedom in her works. While in the Netherlands, she has continued her language studies and teaches English, particularly to women from Turkey, Somalia, and former Soviet Union countries. Her educational efforts are focused on empowering migrant women through language skills.
