Today, I had the honor of being a guest on Radio Oras. I am grateful to my teachers for this opportunity. During the show, host Alexander discussed IDFA documentaries, cuisine, music, and freedom with four guests. Naturally, I was asked about my background and where I come from.

I shared insights about my homeland, Turkmenistan, where people have no freedom of choice, particularly women. One of the guests was astonished to learn that women are not allowed to ride bicycles. This invitation marks another step in my integration into Dutch culture, making me feel even freer.

If I were in Turkmenistan, speaking openly about these issues would have landed me in prison immediately. Thank you for this invitation and for the chance to share my story.
